Norton Mobile Security App Reviews

Norton mobile app does nothing that is not covered by Apple apps. A complete waste of space. However their computer security is very good. Dont put it on your phone.

Not as advertised. Have used Symantec products for years. Will continue use on PC and Mac. But hoped for so much more on my mobile devices. Hear Apple may be to blame, but either way this is not as advertised. Some compensation is in order here. Not good...

What a joke. I asked the representative on the phone(call was recorded) if the premium was the same as what I had on my windows computer. She said it was and would work the same on my iPhone (total of 3) and iPad (total of 2). Thought it was great to have virus protection on the pads as I do a lot of work for grad school on them as well as the computer. Guess what, all it does is back up my contacts and lets me locate my phone. Duh, Apple already does that with their own system. My contacts are already backed up in my Dropbox. Why have this for the Apple products when it does not do what I want it to do. Going to try to see about credit as I signed up for two years of BS for Apple products, but a great product for my Windows computer. One star for my Windows laptop, but no stars for Apple product coverage.

Dont waste your money for something that does what your phone already does. Very disappointed and I feel mislead

Ive used Norton products for many years and have been satisfied with the protection that they provide. I cannot say the same for this mobile service!! My iPhone and iPads already do what theyre offering. This NEEDS to be much improved upon.

Theres no way Norton made this. This had to be a lost bet.

I couldnt believe companies like Norton mislead customers. When I bought this bundle, its clearly said this is for Mac , iPad as well as iPhone. Now I see that the protection is only for the Mac . iPad and iPhone are not included. Im done with Norton after this.

Sure wish I had thought to read reviews on this app before I spent the extra money on the 10 device subscription...but didnt even think about it considering it was Norton, a company Ive trusted for years. Thought Id have a little extra protection for my kids on their iPads & our phones. Serious rip off!! Will be deleting this worthless app as soon as this review is posted. Fortunately I only put it on my iPad first so I only have one to delete.

Find my phone, back-up contacts, things that Apple have covered already. No virus protection... Very deceptive on Nortons behalf.

Just read the rest of the reviews does nothing about protecting you phone just location find and backup contacts. Norton is leading you astray will delete this app my iPad and iPhone is already got find phone and Backup. Get your act together.

This app is redundant to features that come with a free apple iCloud account. There is no virus scan because doing such is impossible with iOS. On the other hand, there are absolutely no viruses, worms or Trojans affecting the iPhone.

First time I have ever rated an app that I recall. Only doing it because it is so awful. Can I give it negative stars? Can I report them for stealing my money? This app is a total flop. Their product information on their web site implies that it does more than it is capable. I bought Norton Security Premium because it was supposed to protect all our families devices and include "...premium family safety features so your kids can explore their connected world safely". They dont even have one kids safety feature. For example, why not allow some basic parental controls like limit hours for installed apps and why not have ability to turn off safari and point only to a kid safe browser? Other apps do this, I was expecting I would have one solution instead of juggling multiple apps that fight with each other and I have to pay multiple subscriptions for. I bought this full Norton package based on false advertising. I really like their PC version, but they shouldnt even advertise they have anything of value for the apple products. Back to using other apps like mobi, ParentKit, and others (which each come with their own challenges). Blah! I have lost a ton or respect for this company. I will be posting this information on every chat room I can. Angry! Can someone please develop a stable and reliable parental controls app that does everything Apple will allow for it to do. Just one app that focuses on what parents need to keep kids safe - PLEASE!!!!!

I bought into the hype about mlaware protection only to discover the promo told only a small part of the story. A rep then told me (after I complained) that you have to scroll down into "system requirements" to get the disclaimer re iOS.

It worked good for a month and then out of the clear blue it crashed and told me I had to log back in again, that subscription had expired. Signed back in and it then told me I had all devices assigned including my iPhone that I was attempting to use... App is garbage and not worth its words in salt. Deleted it.

Do not buy this. Does not do all that is promised.

Very long time Norton subscriber. Purchased license for five devices thinking I would cover my iPad too. Nope. Everything led me to believe that was what would happen when I downloaded this app. Nope. Thought somehow I made a mistake in the two-step process. Nope. Apparently there is no Anti virus etc? Wow. One star because I cant do no stars.

Purchased Norton Premium license, description is totally misleading. No protection provided that was not already provided by Apple for free. I do use Norton 360 on my PC and have for years. The product for iPhone/iPad is worthless.

First off, writing this review was painful having to come up with a nickname not already taken. My 4th try here, well see if It sends without dumping me out to start all over again. Norton makes great PC products but obviously has no in house talent to produce even a decent mobile app and tried many of them! This apps locate phone is sad! Unless you actually have the app running when you lose your phone it wont find it. Dont waste your time on this app as many reviewers have mentioned. I should have listened!

Waste of time and money. My last subs with Norton.
